UK-import on heavyweight vinyl. The Score is the second and final studio album by the hip hop trio Fugees. The album features a wide range of samples and instrumentation, with many aspects of alternative hip hop that would come to dominate the hip hop music scene in the mid-late 1990s. The Score's production was handled mostly by The Fugees themselves and Jerry Duplessis, with additional production from Salaam Remi, John Forté, Diamond D, and Shawn King. The album's guest raps are from Outsidaz' members Rah Digga, Young Zee and Pacewon, as well as Omega, John Forté, and Diamond D. Most versions of the album feature four bonus tracks, including three remixes of "Fu-Gee-La", and a short acoustic Wyclef Jean solo track entitled "Mista Mista." Upon it's release, The Score was a commercial success, peaking at the number one spot on both the Billboard 200, and the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart (it was a number-one album on the latter in 1996 on the year-end chart). The singles "Killing Me Softly, " "Fu-Gee-La, " and "Ready or Not" also achieved notable chart success, and helped the group achieve worldwide recognition. On October 3, 1997, The Score was certified six times platinum in sales by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In addition to receiving mostly favorable reviews upon it's release, the album has garnered a considerable amount of acclaim over the years, with many music critics and publications noting it as one of the greatest albums of the 1990s, as well as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. In 1998, the album was included in The Source's 100 best rap albums list, and in 2003, it was ranked number 477 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

This first studio album from Nick Drake, which has garnered posthumous praise and remarkable all-time greatest album ratings, is an exact replica of the original 1969 release: it is pressed on heavyweight audiophile vinyl and remastered from near-original master tapes by the album's original engineer, John Wood. The original tape was unusable and although there were tape copies the best source was using a 24bit digital file made from the original tape when re-mastered for CD some 12 years ago. Nick Drake's bucolic autumnal shades in his debut album of a similar name, heralded a new signing for Island Records: not traditional enough to be folk, not weird enough to be psychedelic, Drake avoided the pitfalls of what was expected and collaborated with producer Joe Boyd, orchestrator Robert Kirby and recording engineer John Wood to make a singular and almost unique record released to a largely indifferent media. A few leaves fell in the right place and Nick's reputation grew, despite his early death at 24 in 1976, escalating into his world-wide fame of today. Poverty stricken students of 1968 rolled their own - not for them the cigarette temptations of a pack of 10 cigarettes, no, their tobacco thrills came hand rolled, usually in Rizla papers which kindly reminded the participant that they were about to run out, with a yellow interleaf paper with bold red type stating Only Five Leaves Left.

Limited purple colored vinyl. Loaded is the fourth studio album by The Velvet Underground, released in November 1970 by Atlantic Records' subsidiary label Cotillion. It was the final album recorded featuring Lou Reed, who had left the band shortly before it's release. The album featured original members Reed, Sterling Morrison and Maureen 'Mo' Tucker plus Doug Yule, who had joined the band in 1968 after the departure of John Cale. Loaded was a commercial effort aimed at radio play, another step away from the Warhol-influenced days. The album's title refers to Atlantic's request that the band produce an album "loaded with hits". Doug Yule said, "On Loaded there was a big push to produce a hit single, there was that mentality, which one of these is a single, how does it sound when we cut it down to 3.5 minutes, so that was a major topic for the group at that point."

Vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of this 1972 release. Transformer is the second solo studio album by Lou Reed. Produced by David Bowie and arranged by Mick Ronson, the album was released in November 1972 by RCA Records. Bowie had been an early fan of the Velvet Underground, and used his own fame to promote Reed, then a cult favorite who had not yet achieved mainstream success, and had seen his self-titled solo debut album released a year earlier fall into obscurity. Transformer is one of Reed's strongest and consistent solo albums, and contains the songs "Satellite of Love", "Perfect Day" and "Walk on the Wild Side". As with it's predecessor Lou Reed, Transformer contains songs Reed composed while in the Velvet Underground (here, four out of ten). As in Reed's Velvet Underground days, the Andy Warhol connection remained strong. According to Reed, Warhol told him he should write a song about someone vicious. When Reed asked what he meant by vicious, Warhol replied, "Oh, you know, like I hit you with a flower", resulting in the song "Vicious".
